Senior Front-End Software Engineer

Metwork ("Metier Technologies") is growing and looking for a front-end software developer with experience to execute various development duties and mentor other developers.

The position's main responsibilities will be centered around the development of a component library system, and shared components used by other development teams within the organization.  As a senior member of the team, mentoring more junior developers and assisting in decision making are also key skills.

A successful senior software engineer must demonstrate creativity and innovation, have the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, possess excellent communication skills, have strong analytical skills, and be disciplined at keeping up-to-date with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing coding assignments.
• Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality.
• Analyzing code segments regularly.
• Delegating tasks to team members.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments.
• Pair programming.

Experience

• 6-10 years of experience in the field.
• Extensive knowledge of software development and its technologies.
• Solid experience in coding.
• Ability to adapt and learn to changing technologies.
• Strong knowledge of user interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience in multiple front end frameworks like Vue, Angular, React, etc.
• Good communication skills.
• Good time management skills.

The following are some of the qualities we are looking for:

• Experience with React
• Experience writing Web Components using Lit or Stencil
• Experience in the creation of component libraries and/or design systems
• Experience in building software that is easy to test with automation.
• Experience with Storybook
• Experience in deploying code to private NPM stores
