Who is Metwork created for?
Update: As of April 2023, legal associations can join Metwork and unlock exclusive tools for association management and membership growth. Learn more at our Associations Page.
How does Metwork work?
Metwork is a first-of-its-kind legal networking platform that brings the legal community together to collaborate on cases, share referrals, and partake in mentorship opportunities. We optimized Metwork to save time by guiding you to connect with top-quality attorneys.
We do that by:
- Verifying that all attorney-members are bar certified.
- Utilizing smart match technology that guides you to the right attorneys based on multiple characteristics, including a personality test taken during sign-up to discover your legal persona.
- Offering an in-depth profile section that lets users showcase their expertise, personality, strengths, and ambitions.
By ensuring we guide meaningful connections, you can spend less time searching for the right contacts and more time building your career and helping your clients.
How will Metwork improve my career?
Metwork is designed to help take your legal career to limitless heights. We currently have sections to optimize sending and receiving referrals, building dream teams for cases or projects, and partaking in mentorship opportunities. Utilizing our smart-match technology, we guide searches in each section to ensure you connect with the right colleagues.
Update: As of April 2023, we’ve released the Associations Section, which allows you to interact with associations you are currently a member of, as well as find new associations to join and grow your legal career.
How much does Metwork cost?
Founding members will receive their first year on Metwork at no charge. The membership fee is $75 a month at the beginning of year two.
Can I attract new clients on Metwork?
Metwork is a platform to connect with other legal professionals to enhance your network, share referrals, and partake in mentorship. While clients cannot join Metwork, the relationships you form on the platform can lead to new clients from opportunities to join legal teams and the ability to receive referrals.
How do I connect with lawyers I do not know on Metwork?
Connecting with lawyers is easy through Metwork.
From either the Network, Teams, or Referral sections, you can search for new connections. Metwork allows you to easily search for attorneys based on a variety of things, including their field of law, specialty area, geographic location, and more.
As you discover lawyers to connect with, send them an invite and a message. It's as simple as that.
Can I connect with colleagues I do know?
If your colleagues are on Metwork, it’s as simple as adding them as a contact. If they are not yet a member of Metwork, you can quickly invite them to join from within the platform.
How is Metwork different from LinkedIn?
Metwork is built to guide you to meaningful connections.
While Metwork is a networking tool, our core philosophy and features are explicitly geared toward the legal community. Metwork’s connections are curated; you must be part of the legal community to join. Any lawyer on the platform is verified with the bar.
Another key differentiator is that Metwork focuses on enriching the legal community. As a result, we won’t distract you with ads or solicitations on your feed.
Our proprietary smart-match technology uses many factors, including a personality test taken during signup, to ensure we guide you to meaningful connections, not just anyone who’s a member of Metwork.

What are the privacy settings, and how can I control who sees my content?
Your profile can be hidden to users who are not already a part of your Metwork by clicking on the My Account button while hovering over your profile picture. From there, go to privacy, and enable the “Hide my Profile” setting. You will still have full access to the application, but you will be hidden from searches on the Metwork.
How can I report inappropriate or abusive behavior on the social network site?

If you ever forget your password, on our login screen is a button, you can press called reset password. Once you press that, you will be taken through the steps to select a new password that will allow you to access your account.
I cannot find a specific person to add to my network; what’s going on?
This could be caused by either the fact that you are searching for someone that is outside of your initial search radius or that the person in question is not yet a member of Metwork. As long as you have their email address, you can look for them directly on the app. If they are not yet a member, send them an invite to join Metwork, as we are constantly working to expand our connections.
I have had a bad experience with a partner on a team, but am afraid of retaliation if I leave negative feedback. What should I do?
When leaving feedback for another user, they will only see any direct comments you leave for them. They will not see your answers for the slider for how much value they added, nor will they see the qualities you pick for them. Those are used internally as part of the data points for both the creation of teams as well as their feedback rating score. Also, If you are uncomfortable with leaving feedback, you may always input a note for yourself on a user that only you can see.
What is the strength bar for my team that I created?
One of our core beliefs is that we are stronger when we have access to different viewpoints. Our algorithms look at the team and their education, experience, field of law, geography, race/ethnic background, and a host of other data points and compare that to the needs of the case. The more diverse your team’s skill set, the stronger that rating will be.
